Attention ILPMP Users: Public Act 104-0512 expands the ILPMP prescription checking requirements. Each prescriber or prescriber's designee shall document an attempt to access and review the patient's ILPMP profile prior to prescribing any C-II opioid, C-IV benzodiazepine, and an initial C-II stimulant prescription.

The Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program (ILPMP) is an electronic database that collects and displays reported dispensing data for Schedule II-V controlled substances, except for testosterone. In addition, the ILPMP requires the reporting of select drugs of interest and provides access to other relevant health information.
